The Forums on this website are intended to be used, and are for, birthparents and expectant parents considering an adoption plan. They are not to be used as a means for professionals, prospective adoptive parents, or agencies to advertise their positions within adoption. Persons wishing to advertise with the Birthparent Forum, or be listed within the site should contact us.

It should also be noted that the Birthparent Forum does not conduct adoption searches, nor does it contain any search databases. We will allow search messages to be posted in our Forums. However, persons posting a search message should not be under the impression that any type of search has been initiated on the part of the Birthparent Forum, nor do we resume responsibility for any results that come from a search notice posted in our Forums.

Due to the sensitive nature of adoption and the birthparent experience, any postings which contain any of the following will be removed by the administrator immediately:

• Any post from perspective adoptive parents looking to adopt, or influence expectant parents or birthparents in a negative manner. Likewise, expectant parents looking for an adoptive family are discouraged and will be removed immediately.
• Any posts from professionals looking to solicit expectant parents, or influence expectant parents or birthparents in a negative manner.
• Any advertising or soliciting of any type of product or service.
• Any responses or comments that reflect adoption, or a person’s choice of adoption, in a negative or demeaning manner. Personal attacks on individuals or agencies will be removed immediately.
• Offensive language is inappropriate and will not be tolerated.

The Birthparent Forum reserves the right to remove any post from the Forums at any time, for any given reason. We reserve the right to, and will persistently, remove any items that we deem inappropriate. Deletion can occur without warning or explanation, and users posting such messages may be banned without warning.

By posting content in our Forum, you’ve agreed that you have the right to post such content, and that doing so does not violate the copyright or other rights of anyone. By posting, you grant Birthparent Forum the right to reprint any such content in any way it deems appropriate, for no cost. All content on the Forum is exclusively owned by Birthparent Forum, and cannot be used in any form without our written consent.

Any content on our Forums does not necessarily, or explicitly, express the views of the Birthparent Forum or its employees. Postings are not provided with any kind of warranty of accuracy, and you should not rely upon any such information. We strongly recommend that you first consult with a competent adoption professional, medical professional or other professional necessary to verify the validity of any content in question.
